| Bianca
van Baast gave, at the beginning of October 2007, her painting ‘Een glimp
van je ziel’ (A glimpse of your soul) to an acquaintance with the instruction
to pass it on to someone else after two weeks. Since then the painting
has been travelling through the Netherlands (Holland). Every 2 to 3 weeks
it finds a new place to stay at a different family, organization or company. The one who provides the shelter also determines who or where the painting will go next. The project ‘Een glimp van je ziel’ started with a wish of Bianca to inspire people to create a better life for oneself. Like Samuel Milton Jones, a.k.a. Golden Rule Jones, ones said: ‘What I want for myself, I want for everybody”. Van Baast tries to inspire the viewers
of her artwork by the stories she tells with her paintings. | ||||
